DALI Spektor 1 Speakers

I was looking for tiny speakers for my girlfriend's new mini stereo system. Purchased the NAD D3020 v2 integrated amp as well from Stereo Untypical. I have been an active audiophile for 35 years, a music lover all my life, and have heard countless speakers within in all price ranges. One of my favourite affordable compact bookshelf speakers is the Paradigm Atom v2 through v4. These sound to me like a more refined version of that speaker. They have surprising full sound which makes adding a subwoofer optional in a small room. The specs indicate low speaker sensitivity yet they are very easy to drive and they sound spectacular. I listen to classical, jazz, folk, some country, rock n roll, electronic, ambient and 80's new wave music. They sound great with all types of music. To top it all off Noam at Stereo Untypical is a pure pleasure to deal with and very helpful. I bought these to try in the different systems I run and was impressed in all, especially considering the tiny size and low cost of entry. Their sound belies their size and they work very well with low cost electronics like the Ampster I bought to power them but shine with better gear like the Sophia Electric and other amps I plugged them into. I ended up putting them in the bedroom but my wife swiped them for her exercise room. At this price : highly recommended.
