Merlin Music Systems VSM Loudspeakers
This is a legendary speaker from the late 1990's which won many rave reviews and awards. Stereophile Class A: 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2008.
They have a sand-filled chamber and are very heavy. No boxes so local pickup only. Overall in quite good condition, one speaker has some superficial scarring as shown. They sound fantastic. The VSM has the famous Dynaudio Esotar tweeter which currently sells for $770 US apiece.
These speakers utilize the Cardas knob posts so you will need cables with spade connectors. Included are the BAM (bass augmentation module) as well as the original jumpers and the Zobel jumpers. Also the original manual and spiked feet, as well as a box of eight BDR 4 cones, which are an upgrade and make moving the speakers much easier. Merlin ceased operation after Bobby Palkovic passed away in 2015. However they are still supported by Rich Brkich of Signature Sound in Syracuse.
