In 2020 Nagaoka celebrated its 80th birthday. To celebrate this anniversary, Nagaoka introduced two new Moving Magnet pickups in the Jeweltone series: the JT-80BK (Black) and the JT- 80LB (Lapis Blue).
Both pickups have been developed from scratch and embody the design of future Nagaoka pickups. Both have threaded bolt holes, a welcome relief at installation time.

The JT-80BK (Black) is the top model in the new series and has a boron cantilever with a naked elliptical diamond. It is priced in between the traditional MP-200 and MP-300 models, at $749.
