Nagaoka MP-200 Moving Permalloy Phono Cartridge
The Boron-cantilevered MP200 is an audiophile favourite, and represents "level 1" of Nagaoka's high-end offerings. The MP200 requires a preamp load resistance of 47K Ohms, like most other high-output cartridges. Made in Japan.
Highly recommended by Stereo Untypical.
"For its price, Nagaoka MP-200 does not have a lot of competitors and it’s certainly an excellent upgrade for many turntable sets. It’s serious, cultured, and neutral sound precipitates and the sound of your turntable can go into serious heights that rarely any CD player can compete with." - World Of Turntables

"The Nagaoka MP-200 is a great all-rounder. It is well made and easy to fit (lack of captive nuts aside). There is nothing electrically that puts a hurdle in the way of compatibility, and the overall sound is as complete as we have heard at this level. We have no choice but to recommend this cartridge highly." -What HiFi, Oct.2024
