Enjoy toe-curling analog performance at a real world price with the superb John Curl designed Parasound Halo JC3 Jr.!

Since its introduction to a torrent of rave reviews, the JC3 Jr has upended its market segment, by offering most of the performance of the legendary JC3+, at half the price - and in an elegant slim chassis. Very highly recommended.

Recently named to the TAS 50 Greatest Bargains in High End Audio.

The JC3 Jr unit actually comes alive in its balanced mode, though. The balanced connection is a swinging connection. That is, it grooved in a serious manner with both an impressive tonal balance but also a sense of sonic rightness that allowed the music to drift in a carefree and naturalistic manner. - Paul Rigby, The Audiophile Man

This is not a junior in sound

I have lived with vacuum tube amplifiers (Power, Pre and Phono) for almost 30 years I have a solid state back up preamp, I’ve used on occasions. I knew I had to, at least check out some newer gear. I was fully expecting to use a SUT with the Parasound, but Noam urged me to try the MC setting. I really liked the JC3-JR with my own SUTs. A Jorgensen Schou with the SPU and Altecs with the 103. I wasn’t expecting it to be comparable let alone better, with the 103. I like the Ortofon with step-up, but it’s a 3-Ohm cartridge.
The JC3-JR is dead silent in either mode, a check the light kind of silent. The pot for variable loading on MC made it the easiest I’ve ever tried. Very happy with the performance and I think the junior appellation might discourage some,… don’t! This is a bargain for getting near the top, of what’s possible.
