Made with Alnico magnets, Hana's award-winning EH is an Elliptical-tipped, High-Output Moving Coil (HOMC). It requires a preamp load resistance of 47K Ohms, like most high-output cartridges. This means it works with low-gain or "MM" phono sections. A budget champ! Made in Japan.

Hanawesome

I'm glad I purchased this through Noam, answered all my questions immediately, and got the cartridge to me in two days, perfect! Replaced the Elys 2 on my Rega P3 with the Hana EH. First off, it's not fiddly to install. carefully remove the needle guard, place the mounting bolts on the cartridge, carefully place the guard back on, and "Voila" bolts are held in place for easy install, maybe 5 mins. On first listen a veil was lifted, I'm hearing details and clarity as if it was the first time listening to LP's I've listened to many times before. Eye's a rolling, I know there's better, but for me this is all I need. Detailed, clear and musically cohesive, The Hana EH is an affordable, extraordinary cartridge.

Awesome cartridge

Whoa Baby, what a cartridge! I've had numerous turntables and about 4 different (and much more expensive) cartridges). Hana EH is by far the cheapest and possibly the best! My last cartridge, the Benz Micro Ruby 3 did not measure up but cost about 7 x as much. Hana overwhelmingly confirmed my doubts and the glory of Analog playback.

To be fair, almost my entire system has been upgraded since Ruby left the stage. The exception is the even more affordable Graham Slee Gram Amp Communicator Phone Preamp is now paired with the Hana.

The Hana sound is completely riveting. High frequencies are delicious, the bass is above average and most importantly, the depth and breadth of the soundstage is spectacular. Honestly, Tracey Chapman, Pat Metheny and Ennio Morricone are in the room! Set up precisely It tracks really well. I would have thought it worth at least 2x the MSRP.

My next cartridge WILL BE firstly what Noam recommends (most likely an upgraded Hana cartridge). I contacted Noam because I knew he had great in-depth analog knowledge. But it will be a long while before I get tired of the EH!

Final cart

Dealing with Noam was a enjoyable and relaxed process. From answering my questions to installing the cartridge and after.

I was previously using a Ortofon 2M blue stylus on a silver body. It had good bass but a little hard in the highs with a lot of sibilants. The EH gave a slight improvement in the bass accuracy but the sibilants are gone! Much more detail now as well, cymbals are beautiful now. I thought staying with a elliptical stylus there would not be any more detail but moving to this moving coil is magical. Very quiet background as well allowing even more fine details to be heard. Highly recommended.

Just Groovin with Hana

After a few pleasant conversations with Noam, I decided on the Hana eh/mc phono cartridge. Noam installed the cartridge on my turntable and let me know about the Hana's specifications as well. A complete and relaxed transaction, thanks Noam.
